After a much longer than anticipated development phase, we have finally released the highly sought-after theme to the world!

We’ve included the best event management plugin we’ve ever seen, Events Calendar Pro (a $30 value), into the theme. Events Calendar Pro includes custom post type integration for events, venues, and organizers and even supports Google Maps and iCal/Google Calendar integration. The front-end displays a beautiful, usable calendar and we’ve also developed a custom upcoming events widget to integrate smoothly with the plugin.

As far as the design of the theme goes, this theme was lovingly hand-crafted by one of the most talented up-and-coming designers of Canada, Pat Dryburgh. Pat took his years of design experience and non-profit experience and injected it into this theme, making sure it satisfies the needs of charities and their staff members. With 2 style options, 4 custom widgets including a twitter feed widget, this theme is gorgeous and sure to captivate your soon-to-be donors within seconds.

Advanced Theme Options

When it comes to theme options, there is an Image Slideshow Manager that allows you to manage the image slider on the homepage with images and clickthrough URLs, as well as management controls for customizing the logo, header background, two WP 3.0 custom menus, and two ad zones, as well as a number of widgetized sidebars. In addition, we’ve added options to swap out the standard footer for a 3-column widgetized footer so you can build your own!

Carrington Build Integration (Developer Package only)

Of course, after integrating Carrington Build into the Garage Band theme, we just had to integrate this powerful page layout builder into Charity Theme. We’ve set up the image slideshow (seen on the homepage) as a Carrington Build module so you can integrate it into custom pages where desired. Carrington Build is included in the Developer Package only and takes WordPress to the next level to become much more than just a blogging platform.
